• Garlic and Butter Flatbread Recipe

Indulge in the delightful simplicity of homemade garlic and butter flatbread, a perfect companion for any meal or a satisfying snack on its own. This recipe yields a soft, chewy flatbread infused with the rich flavours of garlic and the lusciousness of butter.

    Ingredients:

    • 250g plain flour
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 150ml warm water
    • 50g unsalted butter
    • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

    Method:

    1. In a mixing bowl, combine the plain flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add warm water, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for a few minutes until smooth, then cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

    2. While the dough rests, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant but not browned. Remove from the heat and set aside.

    3. Once the dough has rested, divide it into equal portions and roll each portion into a flat disc, approximately 5mm thick.

    4. Heat a dry skillet over medium heat. Cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and puffed up.

    5. As soon as the flatbreads are cooked, brush them generously with the garlic butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley for a fresh touch.

Serve warm, and watch them disappear almost instantly! Perfect alongside soups, salads, or as a base for tasty toppings, these garlic and butter flatbreads will surely become a favourite in your household.
